About ACTLAP
Date Established:
ACTLAP was established in 1995. ACTLAP was officially Incorporated as Non-Profit Charitable Organization in Canada, previously in 2000 in Ontario and presently Federally Incorporated in June 12 2001 as a Corporation without shared Capital under Part II of the Canada Corporation act to serve Canada wide and International campaign initiatives.
The Board:
The members and Board of Directors of ACTLAP are Volunteers from various professions and ethnic backgrounds, communities and nationalities. The Board has set up committees to continue to work together on collaborative ACTLAP projects to carry out ACTLAP missions and objectives. ACTLAP has developed an honorary trustee Board to serve as contacts and on an advisory capacity. They include Former and Present Head of Schools, Universities and members of other Institutions.
Programs:
ACTLAP programs include:
- Youth Computer Literacy (Training, Events, Research and Development etc.)
- Drop-Off
- Computers for ACTLAP Campaign
- The ACTLAP STRIVE program
- Fundraising
- ACTLAP food Program (through A.C.F.)
Funding:
Funding to date has been made possible by the contributions from the individual Board of Directors of ACTLAP, and donations from friends of ACTLAP (FOA).

- ACTLAP's, Headquarter is base in Canada
- The revenue generated for the organization is based on collection of computer, donations, grants and funding. This will be a focal point of ACTLAP's fundraising venture. The computers will subsequently be upgraded for training purposes and with some donated other federal registered charities and some given to Schools with high demand for non-current computer.
- ACTLAP revenue goes towards computer literacy with a goal to alleviate poverty
